1. Who we are
Night School is operated by Tai Kaish, a sole proprietor in Israel ("Night School", "we", "us"). We are the controller of the personal information described here.
2. What we collect
Information you give us:
- Your first name and email address, when you sign up for the course.
- Answers you choose to give about your baby, such as an age range, how they usually fall asleep now, and who handles night wakings. Every question is optional and can be skipped.
- Anything you send us when you contact support.
- Payment details, if you buy a paid product. These are handled by our payment provider; we never see your full card number.
3. What we collect automatically
When you use the site and course, we collect:
- Course progress, such as which lessons you have started or finished, and whether you watch or listen. Some of this is stored only on your device.
- Technical information such as browser, device type, approximate location from your IP address, and pages visited.
- Information from cookies and similar technologies, including advertising pixels, as described in the Cookies section.
4. What we don’t collect
We don’t ask for your baby’s name, photos, date of birth or medical records, and we ask you not to send them to us. Our questions use general ranges so the course can skip the parts that don’t apply to you.
5. How we use your information
- To give you access to the course and remember your progress.
- To tailor which parts of a lesson play, based on any answers you have given.
- To send course emails, such as your access link and lesson reminders.
- To send sleep tips and Night School news, only if you opted in.
- To measure how our ads perform and to improve the site and course.
- To keep our services secure and prevent misuse.
- To meet our legal obligations.
6. Legal bases (UK and EEA)
We rely on: performance of a contract, to provide the course you signed up for; consent, for marketing emails and non-essential cookies, which you can withdraw at any time; legitimate interests, to improve and secure our services, where these are not outweighed by your rights; and legal obligation, where the law requires us to keep or share information.
8. We don’t sell your information
We do not sell your personal information. Some US state laws treat advertising cookies and pixels as "sharing" for targeted advertising. You can opt out of that at any time by emailing hello@nightschoolhq.com or by turning on Global Privacy Control in your browser.
10. How long we keep it
We keep your sign-up details while you have access to the course or are subscribed to our emails, and for 12 months after that, unless the law requires longer. When you ask us to delete your information, we do so within 30 days. Answers about your baby are deleted when you delete them in the course. Progress stored on your device stays there until you clear it.
11. International transfers
Some of our providers are based outside the UK or EEA, including in the United States. Where information is transferred, we use recognised safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
12. Keeping it safe
We use encryption in transit, access controls and reputable providers to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, so if we ever become aware of a breach that affects you, we will tell you as the law requires.
13. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask us to:
- Give you a copy of your information
- Correct it
- Delete it
- Restrict or object to how we use it
- Transfer it to you or another service
- Stop marketing emails (one click, in every email)
14. How to use your rights
Email hello@nightschoolhq.com. We will respond within one month (UK/EEA) or 45 days (US states), and we won’t treat you differently for using your rights. In the UK you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk). We’d appreciate the chance to help first.
15. Children
Night School is for parents and caregivers aged 18 or over. We don’t knowingly collect information from children. The general answers you give about your baby are about you as a caregiver and are used only to tailor the course.
16. Changes to this policy
If we make meaningful changes, we will update the date at the top and, where appropriate, tell you by email before they take effect.
